Draw on JustDraw from your AI tool

An MCP server that lets Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity and other AI tools put diagrams and UI mockups on a JustDraw whiteboard. Free, no account, no API key, nothing to host.

Ask your AI tool something like “design the auth flow for this service and put it on my whiteboard” and you get back a link. Open it and the diagram is there — editable. Drag the boxes, redraw an arrow, or keep going with JustDraw's own AI.

Install

Needs Node 18 or newer. Nothing else — the server has no dependencies.

Claude Code

claude mcp add justdraw -- npx -y justdraw-mcp

Cursor, Antigravity, Claude Desktop and others

Add this to the client's MCP config, then restart it:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "justdraw": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "justdraw-mcp"]
    }
  }
}

What it can do

ToolWhat it draws
create_diagram Flowcharts, architecture diagrams, mind maps, org charts. You describe the flow; JustDraw lays it out.
create_mockup UI mockups, wireframes, app screens, dashboards.
list_boards Lists the boards in your folder.
read_board Reads a board back, so the AI can describe or extend what you drew.

Optional: save into your own folder

JustDraw can keep your boards in a folder on your computer. Open the whiteboard, click the folder icon, pick a folder. Point the server at the same one and it can write boards into it and read the ones you have already drawn:

"env": { "JUSTDRAW_FOLDER": "/Users/you/Documents/JustDraw" }

Without it the server still works — it hands you links instead of files.

Where your work goes

Nothing is uploaded. A generated board travels inside the part of the link after #, which browsers never send to any server, or it is written as a file on your own disk. There is no JustDraw account and no API key, because there is no backend for one to belong to.

Source

The server is open source and MIT licensed: github.com/aadityapatil350/justdraw. It is a single file with no dependencies, so you can read the whole thing before you run it.
